Jake and Letitia’s wedding at Keteka Hill was exactly that.
Held on the second weekend of April 2026, their wedding day was everything a micro wedding should be. Relaxed, heartfelt, emotional and completely true to them.
The weather honestly could not have been more perfect. Barely a cloud in the sky, soft autumn sunshine poured across the rolling hills surrounding Crow’s Nest, creating the kind of afternoon every wedding photographer dreams of.

Situated just five minutes outside of Crow’s Nest, Keteka Hill is one of the newest wedding venues in the Toowoomba region, and honestly, it completely took my breath away.
Rolling hills stretched endlessly into the distance, creating the kind of backdrop that feels cinematic in photographs. Everywhere you turned, there was another incredible view waiting for us

What makes this venue even more special though is the story behind it.
Built by a local family for their own daughter’s wedding, Keteka Hill was created from a genuine love of bringing people together. Jake and Letitia’s wedding was the very first wedding hosted at the venue outside of their own family, making the day feel even more meaningful.
Being trusted to capture some of the very first professional wedding photographs ever taken at Keteka Hill is something I feel incredibly honoured by.

Why I Love Meeting Couples Before Their Wedding Day
I first met Letitia while running my Christmas markets, and honestly, moments like that are exactly why I value in-person connections so much within the wedding industry.
I truly believe there’s something special about meeting your wedding vendors face-to-face before your day arrives. It creates trust, comfort and familiarity long before the camera even comes out.
It’s also one of the biggest reasons I love offering consult calls for my wedding and elopement couples.
By the time your wedding day arrives, I never want to feel like a stranger showing up with a camera. I want it to feel relaxed, easy and natural, like having someone there who already understands your vision and your personalities.

Jake and Letitia wanted something simple and intentional, surrounded only by their closest friends and family.
Their ceremony lasted less than ten minutes.

These smaller celebrations are becoming increasingly popular for couples wanting an intimate wedding in Queensland. Instead of focusing on a huge guest list, the emphasis shifts to meaningful moments and spending quality time with the people who matter most.
These smaller weddings often only require a few hours of photography coverage, and for their day, two hours was honestly the ideal amount of time. We captured their ceremony, family photographs, couples portraits and all those little in-between moments that tell the story of the day naturally.
And because the timeline was relaxed, everything flowed so effortlessly.
Exploring Keteka Hill With The Owners

One of the most memorable parts of the afternoon was exploring the property alongside the venue owners.
They genuinely went above and beyond to make sure Jake and Letitia felt comfortable throughout the entire experience.
We were driven around the property in buggies, stopping at different lookout points and hidden corners across the venue to create a gallery that truly showcased both the landscape and the couple’s connection together.
It honestly felt less like working and more like adventuring through the hills with good people while creating something beautiful together.
The owners were incredibly accommodating, helping us access some of the best viewpoints across the property and ensuring we had every opportunity to create something special.
The variety of scenery across the venue made such a difference to the final gallery too. Every location gave us something completely different while still holding onto that dreamy countryside atmosphere that makes the Toowoomba region so stunning for weddings.

You have a great sense of humour, were so great with rascally toddlers and overall, it felt like you were one of us.
